The purpose of this course is to provide a generalized review of legal issues commonly associated with nursing practice. Nurses who appreciate the law and how it is applied can minimize their own liability. A summary of applicable case law and legislation affecting current nursing practice, types of liability, requirements of proof in a negligence lawsuit, and available defenses are all offered.Several case examples are included to better illustrate legal points.By M.
